Příchovice has a church, mountain paths and a curious knack for changing your pace. This is where our Dáša stands, where the Jizera Mountains meet the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše). Here you can shape your holiday your own way: decide where to head tomorrow, what to cook and when simply to stay in together.

The rooms are on the ground floor; up under the roof are wooden maisonettes. Every room has its own bathroom, TV and fridge; the kitchen and the common room are shared. For families who want time together, and for friends who’ve been promising each other a weekend away all year.

Explore the area

You can walk to the U Čápa ski slope and to the Cimrman Lighthouse (Cimrmanův maják). Rejdice, the Štěpánka lookout tower and the rack railway in Kořenov are just a few minutes away by car.

No need to hunt for a restaurant every time hunger strikes. Cook your own meals in the shared kitchen and plan tomorrow in the common room. And wet boots? They have their place here too. A holiday can be pleasantly ordinary – and that’s exactly what makes it good.

Downhill & cross-country

Straight onto the slopes in the morning.

First turns, another run, and that last one you just can’t resist. Příchovice has the U Čápa ski area, with Rejdice and Paseky close by. If cross-country skiing is more your thing, you can set off into the winter landscape another way. In the evening your skis rest in the ski room, and you rest under our roof.

On foot & by bike

Just one more bend.

In summer there’s no need to rack up the kilometres. Just follow a forest path, stop wherever it’s lovely and let the day set its own pace. Up to Štěpánka for the view, to Harrachov for the Mumlava waterfall, or to the Příchovice lighthouse for a dose of Czech humour. And some days, simply step outside with no plan at all.

Štěpánka. A walk with a story.

On the summit of Hvězda stands the oldest lookout tower in the Jizera Mountains. Building began in 1847, yet it had to wait until 1892 for its first visitors. A stone tower appears between the trees, and at the top comes the reward: a view over the landscape you’ve come to belong to for a few days.

Příchovice · U Čápa

A lighthouse? Here, in the mountains?

Don’t bother looking for the sea. Look for Jára Cimrman instead – the fictional Czech genius who, so the joke goes, invented almost everything first. At the U Čápa ski area you’ll find his lighthouse (Cimrmanův maják), the Museum of Cimrman’s Era and a forest park. The wooden tower was designed by Martin Rajniš; the museum was founded in 2013. A stop for anyone who loves a good view and a sense of humour that’s just a little bit Czech.

One day you pick a lookout tower, the next a forest path, and then perhaps Harrachov and the Mumlava waterfall. Or you stay in Příchovice and don’t hurry anywhere at all.
