Lesopark na Sluneční

The forest park next to the U Čápa resort in Příchovice has been growing since 2013. The concept is by the Strašné dítě studio, and the play areas were built by enthusiasts from U Čápa with support from the village. There are wooden and metal marble runs, one of them 38 metres long.

Entry is free all year. Besides the marble runs, the park has a stone fairy-tale trail, natural climbing frames and swings, the Příchovice serpent, the Slunečná meadow with an outdoor library, a geopark and a small arboretum.

Where to get a marble

You can buy a wooden marble at the Jára Cimrman Lighthouse, which stands right above the park, or bring your own. The lighthouse's opening hours change through the year, and in winter it is usually open only Thursday to Sunday, so check before you go.

The walk from the chalet

The park is about half a kilometre from the chalet as the crow flies, so you can leave the car with us. From the U Čápa resort, walk a few hundred metres downhill past the guesthouse and along a new avenue of trees on the green trail towards St. Gotthard's chapel; the route passes under the lighthouse. You can return on the yellow trail.

The path is mostly a forest track and stony in places. A regular pushchair will manage with a little effort; an all-terrain pushchair or a baby carrier is more comfortable.
